Keeping the future of Bangladeshi cyber security in mind, the government sat at a meeting with two representatives of Facebook. Today (Sunday) morning the meeting began at home ministry.
Home Minister Asadujjaman Kamal Khan, State Minister for Information and Communications Junaid Ahmed palak, Technology and Post and Telecommunications Minister Tarana Halim also took part in the meeting with the government. Vikram Langeh, law enforcement specialists of Facebook in South Asia, and Deepali Liberhan, public policy manager for South Asia were present at the meeting. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regularity Authority (BTRC) and law enforcement officials were present too.
To prevent such issues as harassment against women, religious provocations, political turmoil in Facebook Post and Telecommunications send a letter to the Asia-Pacific office on November 30. Abuses in the context of Facebook and its negative sites were marked in this letter. Facebook responded the next day.
