Dhaka city is overburdened with Two and a half million people, humiliation of the traffic congestion. Which can release by keeping with the era of modernization and through the development. The government is working on that goal. So they most emphasis on modernization of the communication system. Continuation of that, metro train has become a blessing for the Dhaka. Which is being implemented in the Strategic Transport Plan (STP) under supervision of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA).
The government of Bangladesh itself And the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has invested in that project. All the Responsibility of implementing has been handed over to the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
This metro line will be 20.1km long from Uttara third phase to Mtijheel. It will be a totally elevated Metro system.
Metro rail is about to be the first fastest modern public transport in our country. And it will be the most environmentally friendly. A total of 16 stations will be created under the MRT line-6.
Passengers will need to be able to pay the rent by automatic Fare Collection card when they are entering the station. So there will be not any human suffering to catch public transport.
Each station will have a comprehensive platform, so the train will come after three and a half minutes later. There will be ample comfortable seating arrangements inside the passenger train. The Metro train will be capable of transport 60 thousand passengers per hour.
Passengers will transport from North Uttara, Dhaka Centre, South Uttara, Pallabi, Mirpur 11, Mirpur 10, kajipara, Shewrapara, Agargaon, Bijoy Sarani, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, TSC, Press club to Motijhil.
The MRT line-6 will continue over the head along the middle of the road. It will not get involved with the other transport system. It would be a smooth, safe and affordable travel.
MRT line-6 will be an another milestone on the way to a digital Bangladesh.
